What does a typical day look like as a Project Manager at AMLA®?
As a Project Manager at AML Analytics, my day starts with daily huddles where we assess the progress of the team’s work and ensure we are meeting our deadlines. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities as I assist the CTO in managing the IT team and addressing various tasks. For example, when we approach a deployment, the focus intensifies as we ensure that everything is prepared for a successful release. To support continuous development and maintain a positive work environment, I leverage mentors to ensure everyone on the team feels valued and motivated. This commitment to team wellbeing directly ensures we deliver top-notch solutions for our customers.
How do you handle changes to delivery schedules for new releases of our tech solutions?
When changes to delivery schedules come up, I look at our resource and delivery plan. I prioritise tasks and adjust the team’s focus accordingly. It’s essential to determine if the change needs immediate action, and if it does, I shuffle the team around to ensure nothing affects our delivery timelines. This approach helps us manage deployments, stand-alone releases and hotfixes, consistently staying at the top of our game and ensuring our RegTech and SupTech solutions remain state-of-the-art.
How do you keep up with the latest tech developments within AMLA®?
I stay up-to-date with the latest tech developments through constant communication with my team, the wider business and also with our Program Release Manager. I’m involved in the high-level scope stages of projects and, when necessary, I push potential changes back to our CEO for approval to ensure they are right for the company. My team and I keep a vigilant eye on the scope of time and the delivery plan, ensuring all processes are signed off before moving forwards. This helps us maintain exceptionally high delivery standards and supports ongoing innovation.
