Outcomes of the 42nd EAG Plenary meeting

Between 26-30 May, the Eurasian Group on Combating Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism (EAG) held its Plenary, focusing on regional typologies, training and technical assistance, digital tools for risk management, and preparations for the upcoming round of FATF mutual evaluations.
The evaluations will follow a revised, more risk-based and results-oriented methodology.
The FATF Secretariat emphasised that this new approach aims to support countries in implementing effective reforms to combat money laundering, terrorist financing, and the financing of weapons of mass destruction.
EAG, a FATF-style regional body and associate FATF member, includes nine countries: Belarus, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, India, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
